The Survey for the Present Status of Water Usage in the Republic of the Philippines - JICA

The purpose of this project is to obtain the current status and issues of project for water usage, irrigation and water supply , flood control and water quality management. The aim was to collect as much information on these projects to form a digital database for easy access, monitoring and analysis. It is part of “The Survey for Utilization of Water-Related Project Database in the Republic of the Philippines” dealing on the following aspects:

• Flood Control
• Water Resources Development
• River Basin Management
• Water Usage
• Digitalized and Printed Data

Information were gathered from database records of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), National Irrigation Association (NIA) and Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA). The final output was a comprehensive collection of past studies containing important information on the technical as well as social impact of these water related projects. All of these data was encoded in HTML format for easy access by users over the internet.
